Here you will find guidelines for all assignments, and examples that you can refer to. Each student must also download his completed individual assignments to his personal website.

During the off-site weeks, please work on your weebly website.
Take photographs using the following techniques you learned in class:
- Rule of thirds
- Perspective
- Light
- Texture
- You may also take pictures that simple tell a story. Capturing the moment, being in the right place, at the right time, is a form of art.
- Upload your photos to a new page in your weebly website. Use your artistic expression! You may add captions if you want.

Create a poster promoting the sale of yearbook family/senior ads
The poster should have the following characteristics:
Visually appealing
Persuasive (why should parents purchase the ad?)For example, to preserve memories.
The poster doesn't necessarily has to have the cost (in fact it's probably better if you do not include it) but DO mention that the yearbook is included in the cost of a half page ad.
Cost of ads:
$75.00 for a half page-includes the yearbook
$35.00 for a quarter page ad

You can copy and paste this address into the browse or click on the link. This is an on-line tutorial that shows you how to build the yearbook pages. I want you to go over all the modules carefully, starting with module one. The more familiar you become with the program, the more prepared you will be at our next meeting.

Week of September 4
For your initial assignment, look at different samples of advertisement in magazines. You will choose one that appeals to you. Bring to first class meeting and attach a narrative that explains why the advertisement was appealing or interesting. Elements to consider may include but not be limited to: layout, illustrations, captions, graphs, and font.
Be as detailed and explicit as possible.
This assignment is worth 10 points.
